Just a quick update cause I got called into work unexpectedly today. ‘Jeffries’ is coming along swimmingly, and I’ve finally hit the point where I can expand on the existing material rather than adding to the middle (yay). From here on out I should be able to write faster since I won’t have to spend quite as much time worrying about what else I need to change elsewhere with every single word I write. I’ll see where I’m at by the end of the month and by then I should be able to project out a good time estimate.
And my battlebot that you may recall from last week’s post is now functional. It moves! And its zippy too. It can get going fast enough to wedge itself underneath my shoes and push them around, which are something like three times the weight of the battle bot itself. It can even drive upside down! I’m pleased with its progress and I’m hoping to add a new features like air-gapped armor and new materials into the mix in order to make it as strong as can be. Wish me luck!
